Case Studies

Visual systems defining how businesses show up

These case studies examine the decisions behind the work, why those decisions mattered, and how the resulting visuals continue to support each client's business long after the shoot is over.

These projects are built for businesses ready to close the gap between how they operate and how they are seen.

Hyde Salon: a visual system for a service-based brand

Service Business | Ongoing Partnership | Brand System

Hyde Salon is a Kansas City hair salon built on precision, trust, and a refined client experience, but its visual presence had not kept pace with the level of service it delivered. The work focused on building a system for documenting services, space, and team in a way that reflects how the business operates day to day. Over time, that system expanded into motion, creating a cohesive body of imagery used across the website, marketing, and social platforms that reinforces the quality and consistency of the experience in the chair.

KBS Constructors: professional presence at scale

Construction | Corporate | Ongoing Partnership

KBS Constructors is a Midwest construction company with teams operating across multiple regions, where consistency in how people are presented directly impacts proposals, recruiting, and client trust. What began as a single executive headshot developed into a repeatable, on-location system for photographing the entire team efficiently without disrupting operations. The result is a unified set of images that allows the company to present itself clearly and consistently as it continues to grow.

Bella Derma: clinical precision without clinical distance

Medical Aesthetics | Healthcare | Brand System

Bella Derma Medical Aesthetics & Wellness operates at a high level, but its imagery was not consistently reflecting that standard. A cohesive visual system built across headshots, services, products, and environment, all captured within the realities of a working clinic, closed that gap. That consistency now extends across the practice's website, marketing, and patient touchpoints, reinforcing trust from the very first impression.

Washburn Rural North MS: defining a new school

Education | Institutional | Interior

Washburn Rural North Middle School is a newly built school that needed to communicate how the building works before students, parents, and staff ever walked through the doors. Documenting the layout, movement, and key spaces makes the environment easy to understand and use from day one. The images became part of the school's communication and planning materials, reducing confusion, supporting onboarding, and reinforcing the school's identity as it began to take shape.

KMRA Tasting Club: a pop-up that refuses to repeat

Hospitality | Food & Beverage | Ongoing Partnership

KMRA Tasting Club is a pop-up dining experience where each event is shaped by a different environment, menu, and creative direction, making consistency difficult to maintain over time. The system documents the full experience in motion, capturing the relationship between preparation, interaction, and presentation without interrupting service. Across multiple events, the imagery has formed a cohesive body of still and motion work that reflects the experience accurately while holding together as a recognizable KMRA brand.

Karats Jewelers: a flagship retail experience

Retail | Event Coverage | Brand System

Karats Jewelers opened a new 20,000 square foot flagship location and needed imagery that could reflect both the scale of the space and the level of experience they provide. The imagery documents the environment and customer interactions in a way that feels elevated without becoming staged or disconnected from reality. The finished image library now supports digital marketing, the website, and client communications while accurately representing both the physical space and the experience of being inside it.

Muse Furniture & Design: precision under constraint

Craft & Design | Product | Publication

Muse Furniture & Design creates one-of-a-kind custom furniture where material, construction, and function all need to hold up under close inspection. At the center of this project was a walnut burl credenza, photographed and filmed within a controlled visual system that represents grain, joinery, and movement without distortion or loss of detail. The final body of still and motion work communicates the piece clearly across web, publication, and long-term marketing use while remaining faithful to the craftsmanship behind it.

Kaleb Stoppel: capturing a keynote

Speaking | Advocacy | Event Coverage

Keynote speaker and advocate Kaleb Stoppel needed more than conference coverage. The project centered on building a visual system capable of translating a deeply personal live presentation into something that could continue existing meaningfully afterward through photography, motion, audio, and a finished speaker reel. The work explored how storytelling, atmosphere, and human connection can be preserved beyond a single keynote and carried into speaking materials, social platforms, websites, and future outreach.
